  1. Shelters/rescues would be able to create a profile with ARF with the basic info we need from them
  2. Shelters/rescues would be able to fill out a flight request form with the info we need for flight planning. It would be queued to our flight?coordinators for approval. When approved, the shelter/rescue would get an automatic email of confirmation (or rejection if not approved)
  3. Pilots and volunteers would be able to create a profile with ARF with the basic info we need from them
  4. The flight coordinator would be able to create a flight plan and post it for all to see...an automatic message would go out to the person who requested it and an automatic email would go out to all pilots within XX nm from the flight path
  5. Pilots would be able to sign up for legs of the flight. Their request would be sent to a flight coordinator for approval. An email message would be sent with approval/decline (we'd reject the request if we had multiple volunteers...we pick one and the rest would be declined)
  6. The day prior to the flight, a final flight sheet would be produced and automatically mailed to the pilots, senders, receivers, and requesters. It would include information as shown in the attachment. Separately, we could send out a "GO / NO-GO email" when we know a flight will or will not happen
  7. The day after a flight, an email would automatically go out to the pilots asking them to complete a flight report. This info would be used for end of year tax reporting for the pilots.
  8. There would be some basic reporting...number of flights, number of animals, trips by state of origination, trips by state of destination, etc. This information will be useful for PR and eventually for fund-raising.
  9. I'd love it if this program was usable for flight plans *and* ground plans...we could really help the whole transport process for everyone involved much more efficient...I've been working with someone on a concept of a central?rescue transport?site and this could be it.

Coordinator enters prospective missions detail page including the number of animals, beginning and end states, beginning and end suggested airports and an estimate of required duration of flight. This is transmitted to the schedule page.

Pilot or Driver selects a leg and fills in information such as time of day he can perform the leg and possibly insert or change a terminus. A pilot/driver-suggested change of terminus or time is highlighted in pink until a connecting pilot/dirver confirms the change.

Each element of the schedule can be double-clicked to open another page where information concerning the element can be viewed or updated.
